We have had a great start to the term and look forward to sharing our fantastic learning journeys.
Our first Topic is The Stone Age.
We began our topic by becoming archeologists, and uncovering Stone Age artefacts from a special excavation site!
We have also had an interesting time exploring Rocks as part of our Science, this included exploring rock types, discovering how fossils are made and looking into what soil is made of!
We had a fantastic time with a history expert who came in and showed us plenty of awesome artefacts and replicas of parts of Stone Age animals! We learnt many interesting things and enjoyed picking his brains for extra information!
Within our Numeracy we have also been looking at fun ways to improve on our times tables, below is the website details to Times Tables Rockstars- a fun and rewarding game we have begun to play. See if you can earn some coins for your character and get a new high score! Copy and paste the address into a new search bar.
We have been exploring Stone Henge as part of our topic and delved into Stone Age monuments and dwellings and how they were constructed. We shared our Stone Henge homework and discovered that the collections of Stones had special names and were placed in a very specific way. We tried to recreate Stone Henge using biscuits!
